Welcome to Chestnut Pool Fishery

“Chestnut” as it has become affectionately known is widely recognised as one of the countries top day ticket fisheries.

The 3 acre lake is regularly fished by the UK’s top anglers including Bob Nudd, Mark Pollard and Steve Ringer to name just a few.  The fishery is also a firm favourite with the angling Press.

Chestnut is by no means just a carp water, but if carp are your quarry you have the chance to experience some of the best carp fishing there is.  We have over 2,500 fish from singles to upper twenties including over 400 doubles.

Many anglers come to fish for the lakes other prolific species such as our famous Golden Tench or hugh perch that are often caught from the reed lined margins along with big roach, rudd, bream and crucians.

The fishery is open 7 days a week, from March to November from 7am till dusk or 21.00 hours which ever is earliest and during December to March 7.30am till dusk.

Every Tuesday from May 12 to July 21st the fishery will close at 16.30 hours to hold our Fox Summer League Matches.
